The Wild Fungi project is a joint project between MYCOmmunity, BioQuisitive and Science for All, as well as other groups and individuals trying to understand what a ‘healthy’ fungal eco-system looks like, develop new methods of monitoring fungi in the environment, and determine which fungi need protecting.
Anyone can get involved in any stage of this project, including project design, grant applications, gathering samples, analysing DNA or sharing results.
We’re running the project using an online discussion forum which you can join here.
The ‘Wild Fungi’ project will inform a planned larger Science for All project called ‘Wild Restoration’ which seeks to develop evidence informed restoration methods, using DNA, drone, technology and traditional knowledge.
